What you can contribute

• Draft notes and reports for the Federal Council, Parliament and the management of SECO
• Develop legal bases and process parliamentary interventions, media requests and consultation requests under the transparency law
• Represent Switzerland's interests in various international forums and agreements relating to export control
• Process requests for the export, import and transit of war material, clarify complex legal and technical issues
• Prepare and carry out inspections of companies exporting war material

What makes you unique

• University degree, preferably in economics, political science, law, public management or a related field
• Sharp political sense and a strong interest in issues relating to foreign economic policy and security policy
• Strong service orientation, stress resistance, flexibility and efficiency within the framework of dynamic and complex projects
• Writing talent and solid communication skills
• Very good oral and written knowledge of two official languages, and very good knowledge of English

In a few words

The Armaments Export Control sector ensures the control of the manufacture and transfer of war material and related technology in order to ensure compliance with international obligations and the principles of Switzerland's foreign policy, while allowing for the maintenance in Switzerland of an industrial capacity adapted to its defense needs.
