What you can contribute

• Ensure the complete management of specialized applications relating to Swiss identity documents, work on their development in collaboration with the team and guarantee technical assistance for the cantons, the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and citizens
• Plan and lead part-time projects, achieve defined objectives by following set milestones, guarantee results while respecting costs and deadlines
• Support project managers, develop concepts and decision-making bases, organize and document workshops and meetings
• Plan, pilot and carry out tests, updates and deployments and manage the test laboratory
• Conduct analyses, evaluate process indicators, contribute to quality assurance, testing and operational exploitation
• Apply project management methods and instruments and guarantee training and information exchange with technical assistance and operations

What makes you unique

• Higher technical education at HES or ES level, federal diploma or degree in computer science
• Experience in technical assistance as well as in the management of testing and updates of complex specialized applications
• Autonomy and analytical, logical and interdisciplinary way of thinking
• Communication and negotiation skills and ability to coordinate diverging interests and resolve conflicts constructively
• Team spirit and a strong sense of service
• Good oral and written knowledge of two official languages and English

The Police and Identification Systems Management Domain ensures the secure operation and development of central police databases and information systems, facilitates the exchange of police information at the national level and provides forensic and identification services to Swiss and foreign partner authorities. The Identity Documents and Central Offices Division performs the legal tasks of the Confederation regarding identity documents and weapons and explosives law. It includes the two central offices for weapons and explosives, the Identity Documents and e-ID Domain and the Security Documents and Counterfeit Money Competence Center. It is also responsible for high-level surveillance, market surveillance, the establishment and development of identity documents and e-ID solutions as well as the analysis and prevention of related fraud and counterfeiting.
