Head of Controlling

Our client is a successful, internationally active industrial company with a significant Swiss location in the city of Zürich. With over 700 employees and its own plant, the location plays a central role within the group.

To strengthen the team, we are looking for a competent and strong leadership personality as Head of Controlling. In this key position, you will be responsible for the entire controlling of the Swiss location and act as a strategic sparring partner for the CFO, the management board, and the group.

Your tasks

• Leadership and further development of a team (3 controllers)
• Overall responsibility for project, overhead, and plant controlling as well as operating result accounting including management and group reporting
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in close cooperation with the Head of Finance
• Responsibility for the entire corporate planning of the Zürich location
• Acting as a competent business partner for various location and group functions
• Deputy for the Head of Finance
• Preparation of ad-hoc analyses and reports as well as active further development and optimization of operational controlling
• Responsibility and active participation in the transformation from SAP R/3 to SAP S/4HANA in the area of controlling

Your profile

• Completed studies in business administration, economics, or a comparable field (university, FH, or similar)
• At least 5 years of professional experience in controlling or corporate accounting of an industrial company with a production environment
• Strong IT affinity and enjoyment of working with modern systems and digital tools
• Sound SAP knowledge as well as very good MS Office knowledge, especially in Excel
• Leadership experience as well as pronounced leadership competence
• Reliable, proactive, and integral personality with a precise, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
• Strong analytical and entrepreneurial thinking as well as high communication and teamwork skills
