Shaping the future of our infrastructure together The political municipality of Weesen with around 1'900 inhabitants is located in a unique position on Lake Walensee. A high quality of life, a well-maintained infrastructure, and a committed workshop service characterize our attractive municipality. As part of a comprehensive organizational analysis, the municipal council has further developed the future orientation of the civil engineering, water supply, and workshop service department. This has resulted in a newly designed management function that heads the workshop service but also gets involved itself and takes on the responsibility for the water supply. To strengthen our team, we are looking for an enthusiastic, solution-oriented, and entrepreneurially thinking person to start immediately or by agreement. Head of Workshop Service and Water Supply 80 – 100 % (a) Your task You will lead the currently two-person team of the workshop service and ensure the safe operation of the water supply and guarantee the water quality. Together with your team, you will ensure that our infrastructure functions reliably and our municipality remains attractive and livable in the future. You will lead the workshop service with presence, trust, and team spirit and actively support your team in the corresponding work. Your main tasks Workshop Service • Technical and personnel management of the workshop service • Responsibility for deployment, standby, and resource planning of the workshop service for all operational maintenance, care, and repair work according to the analysis of the workshop operations • Operational participation in the workshop service, especially in extraordinary events • Deployment planning and active participation in winter service • Procurement of vehicles, equipment, and machines within the budget framework Water Supply • Ensuring operation and water quality • Monitoring, maintenance, and further development of the control center • Coordination and initiation of immediate measures in case of operational disruptions and leaks. Superordinate • Preparation of decision-making bases, loan applications, reports, and statements for the workshop service and water supply. • Deputation of the head of civil engineering • Further development of maintenance standards and communal infrastructure management Your profile You have completed training as a specialist in operational maintenance EFZ workshop service or have equivalent professional experience, ideally combined with leadership experience. You have already completed the training as a well constructor FA or are motivated to complete this additional training.
