What you can contribute

• Verify customs documents
• Ensure control of removal and loading
• Verify that vehicles comply with applicable police regulations (safety)
• Collaborate in the collection and control of the heavy vehicle fee linked to services (RPLP)
• Work in a team with irregular hours

What makes you unique

• Federal Certificate of Capacity issued after a basic vocational training of at least three years, maturity, general education diploma or equivalent certificate
• Swiss or Liechtenstein citizenship, or C settlement permit
• Great willingness to learn and high work capacity; geographic flexibility; category B driver's license
• Willingness to wear a uniform
• Very good knowledge of an official language

In a few words

You will participate in controls carried out in cross-border traffic and in the implementation of customs regulations in the Basel or Aargau regions. You will be in permanent contact with customers and will defend the interests of the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security in a clear and convincing manner.

Security for the population, the economy and the State

The Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (FOCBS) ensures global security at the border for the benefit of the population, the economy and the State. It works closely with other national and international authorities. Among its main tasks are the adequate and rapid customs clearance of commercial goods, the smooth management of tourist traffic as well as the fields of security police and migration. With the criminal prosecution management division, it has its own investigative authority. The FOCBS is undergoing a full digital transformation. The DaziT program aims to simplify, optimize and digitize all customs, fee collection and control processes.
