Prorector Basic Education

For the school year 2027/28 (1 August 2027) or by arrangement, we are looking for a

Your tasks

• You assume responsibility for basic education and shape its pedagogical, organizational, and quality-oriented further development.
• You lead and accompany teachers and, together with them, create good framework conditions for successful teaching and learning.
• You are responsible for the organization of school operations and coordinate the overarching lesson, room, and resource planning.
• You initiate and accompany development and quality projects and contribute new ideas to the further development of our school.
• You bear responsibility for the examination system and the qualification procedures.
• You maintain cooperation with training companies, the OdA Gesundheit und Soziales Thurgau, the intercompany courses, as well as other partners in vocational training.
• As a member of the school management team, you help shape the development of the entire BfGS, support the Rector, and take on deputy tasks.
• With a teaching activity in a small workload, you remain close to everyday school life and our learners.

Your profile

• You know vocational training and ideally bring a connection to the health or social sector.
• You have teaching experience and the corresponding teaching qualification for secondary level II.
• You bring leadership experience and enjoy accompanying, promoting employees, and achieving goals together.
• You have already completed school management training or are willing to complete it.
• You think in networks, organize proactively, and maintain an overview even in a lively everyday school life.
• You communicate clearly and appreciatively, bring different perspectives together, and make decisions with moderation.
• You are digitally savvy and enjoy further developing contemporary forms of work, teaching, and learning.
• You bring initiative, team spirit, and the willingness to take responsibility for the BfGS as a whole.
