• You assume the medical, personnel, strategic and entrepreneurial leadership of the Clinic of Medicine and bear overall responsibility for quality, economic efficiency and sustainable further development. The Clinic of Medicine includes: General Internal Medicine, Neurology, Pneumology, Cardiology, Angiology, Endocrinology and Diabetology, Infectiology and Hospital Hygiene, Gastroenterology, the Medical Outpatient Clinic, Palliative Care, IPS and the Ambulatory clinic with the consultation hours
• You ensure high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered and economical patient care.
• You strategically further develop the medical range of services and clinical processes, thereby strengthening the positioning of the clinic.
• You promote and develop the medical staff as well as other specialists and design attractive, future-oriented initial and continuing education.
• You promote close, partnership-based and interprofessional cooperation within the hospital, especially with the emergency station, geriatric medicine and other specialist departments. In doing so, you strengthen joint care concepts, coordinated clinical processes and cooperation at eye level.
• You maintain and develop sustainable, partnership-based networks with general practitioners, referrers as well as other regional health partners. In this way, you strengthen cross-sector cooperation and actively help shape integrated regional healthcare.
• You are yourself clinically active, participate actively in the medical service operations and thereby maintain proximity to patient care and daily clinical life.
• You live a transparent and strength- and values-oriented leadership culture, actively involve the management team in decisions and create an environment in which employees can develop professionally and personally.
• As a member of the executive management, you assume co-responsibility for the strategic and entrepreneurial further development of the entire hospital.

Requirements

• Specialist title in General Internal Medicine (FMH) and proven clinical expertise; an additional specialist title, for example in intensive care medicine, is an advantage.
• A habilitation is desired, but not a requirement.
• Several years of leadership experience in a medical management function, ideally as a Senior Physician or Head Physician.
• Proven experience in the care of complex internal medicine patients as well as in interdisciplinary cooperation.
• Proven leadership competencies as well as experience in organizational and strategic development.
• An integrative leadership personality with high social competence, integrity and a values- and strength-oriented leadership attitude.
• Good knowledge of the Swiss healthcare system and experience in the Swiss hospital environment.
• A good understanding of regional healthcare as well as the ability to build and maintain sustainable relationships with general practitioners, referrers and other partners.
• Entrepreneurial thinking as well as a pronounced understanding of quality and service.
