What you can contribute

• Draft analyses and assessments on important current issues and developments within the competence area of the Federal Criminal Police (PJF)
• Develop basic documents, reports, recommendations, and positions regarding various matters such as parliamentary interventions, Federal Council matters, office consultations, etc.
• Manage matters concerning several divisions as well as files of a political and strategic nature and, to this end, conduct consultations with internal and external partners
• Support the division and office directorates, notably by preparing management files, decision-making aids, and substantive information
• Contribute to the development and evaluation of strategies and instruments aimed at combating crime and improving the operational work of the PJF

What makes you unique

• University degree, ideally in the legal field, or equivalent training; work experience in a police force is an asset
• Very good knowledge of Switzerland's internal security, Swiss and foreign partner organizations, international security architecture, and the workings of public administration
• Solid knowledge in the field of criminal prosecution and, ideally, regarding police tactics and field engagements
• Quick-wittedness, analytical, structured, and results-oriented working method, sense of responsibility, and pleasure in working in an interdisciplinary team
• Very good knowledge of two official languages and English

The Federal Criminal Police (PJF) of fedpol investigates criminal proceedings opened by the Confederation against serious crime, such as terrorism, organized crime, human trafficking, cybercrime, and economic crime. It analyzes criminal phenomena that fall under federal competence and supports cantons and foreign authorities in their criminal and judicial police tasks.
The Management, Planning and Staff Division assists the management and divisions of the PJF in their management tasks. It is responsible for managing strategic and political matters, ensures training and development in criminal police matters, and provides services in the areas of personnel, finance, procurement, and IT support.
