Security Architect PQC

Tasks

• Establishing a sound technical basis for the introduction of Post-Quantum Cryptographic (PQC) methods
• Conception and structuring of the Cryptographic Inventory (identification of used RSA, ECC, DH etc.)
• Evaluation of discovery methods and tools using CMDB, Code Scanning, Network Scanning, certificate inventories, SBOM/CBOM, cloud and vendor data
• Analysis of central cryptography use cases (including TLS/mTLS, PKI, Code Signing, document signatures, VPN, SSH, HSM/KMS, APIs, Messaging, data encryption)
• Assessment of the PQC readiness of components and products: investigation of libraries, operating systems, appliances, HSMs, cloud services and vendor products regarding support for ML-KEM, ML-DSA etc.
• Development of pilot architectures: e.g. PQC/Hybrid-TLS, PKI/Certificate Lifecycle prototypes or signature use cases for validation in test/pilot environments
• Development of technical migration patterns and standards
• Identification of technical dependencies and blockers

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Security/Crypto Architect in large IT environments with deep know-how in PKI, TLS/mTLS, HSM/KMS, certificates, signatures and network/API security
• Demonstrable experience in the design of crypto/key management architectures as well as in the technical analysis of infrastructure, application and cloud use cases
• Ability to methodically and technically design a company-wide Cryptographic Inventory and PQC readiness assessment and to implement it with various teams
• Fluent German skills

Advantageous

• Practical experience with Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), Hybrid-TLS/PKI pilots or PQC evaluations in regulated industries (e.g. financial industry)
