Cybersecurity Operations Engineer 80 - 100% (m/w/d)

What you will achieve

Do you enjoy cybersecurity and analyzing complex security incidents? Do you switch playfully between operational and analytical tasks and enjoy working in cross-functional teams? Then you are in the right place with us; strengthen our growing and dynamic cybersecurity team.

• Analysis and processing of cybersecurity incidents in cooperation with our SOC provider and with internal teams
• Carrying out post-mortem analyses, creation of KPIs and status reports
• Development of incident response playbooks
• Carrying out vulnerability scans, assessment of technical vulnerabilities and coordination of their handling
• Research into new vulnerabilities and threats and identification of measures to improve capabilities, to avoid and to detect attacks
• Evaluation and optimization of security tools regarding vulnerability scanning and security monitoring
• Participation in the development of protection concepts and technical guidelines

What you bring

• Completed training in computer science, information security/cybersecurity or a related discipline
• At least 2-3 years of experience in a security operation role, especially in handling incidents and vulnerabilities
• Broad technical knowledge regarding security technologies (EDR, SIEM, CTI) and frameworks (OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK/D3FEND, NIST CSF)
• Sound knowledge in the areas of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and networks, as well as basics in scripting and automation
• Good knowledge regarding Entra ID and Microsoft Defender Suite is an advantage
• Willingness to learn and enthusiasm for familiarizing yourself with new areas of responsibility as well as a tech-enthusiastic and curious personality
• Strong ability to work effectively with colleagues from different teams
• Very good language skills in German and good English skills, language skills in French are an advantage
