The Universitäre Psychiatrische Zentrum Bern is committed, within the outpatient clinic of the Universitätsklinik für Forensische Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie, to research-based, effective, and socially relevant treatment of people in forensic contexts. In doing so, the interdisciplinary team combines clinical psychiatry, psychology, law, and social sciences to develop new ways in diagnostics, therapy, and relapse prevention. The goal is to promote the mental health, self-responsibility, and social reintegration of the patients in the long term - and thus make an important contribution to public safety and to modern forensic-psychiatric care.

Your tasks

• You are responsible for conducting psychological-psychotherapeutic individual and group therapies within the framework of measures ordered by the courts and the correctional services
• You work as a case-managing forensic psychologist
• You maintain the medical history and regularly write reports (e.g., to the referring authorities or the court)
• You are responsible for crisis interventions as well as for the assessments of the mental state of the patients
• You work interdisciplinary with the medical service, authorities (probation and correctional services), courts, and other institutions

Your profile

• You have a university degree in clinical psychology and possess completed or advanced psychotherapy training
• You are interested in and open to people in special and difficult life situations
• Preferably, you bring forensic-psychological professional experience
• You are interested in forensic psychology and enjoy interdisciplinary cooperation
• You have a high level of comprehension when dealing with complex issues and are characterized by a strong psychological resilience
• A good team atmosphere is important to you
• You have very good German language skills; all other language skills are an advantage
