Your missions * As an assistant cantonal chemist and member of the SAAV management, you assist the cantonal chemist in the definition and implementation of the service's strategy regarding the control of food commodities and common objects and you substitute for him in his absence. * As a section head, you direct the chemistry and biology laboratories of the service, for which you verify and ensure the quality and conformity of services as well as analysis reports. * You supervise the implementation of the SAAV quality management system and ensure the monitoring of indicators and objectives of the laboratories. Desired profile * Master's or doctorate from a university, an EPF or an HES in chemistry, biochemistry, food sciences or natural sciences, completed by a federal diploma in the direction of official food control (DDCAl) or the willingness to obtain it, in accordance with the federal ordinance in force (RS * Professional experience in an accredited analysis laboratory (management and development), several years of training and/or experience in management, ideally with experience in change management. * Strong interest in public service, good knowledge of its functioning as well as cantonal and federal structures. * Ease in communication, planning and organization as well as in the management of computer systems (notably LIMS). * Resistance to stress, ability to assert oneself and aptitude to manage crises. * Rigorous, precise and organized. * French or German language with very good knowledge of the other language.
