TPA Emergency Medicine Veterinary Clinic Feusisberg

As a Veterinary Practice Assistant or Veterinary Practice Assistant, you will work in Feusisberg in the Canton of Schwyz with a focus on emergency medicine. You will admit emergency patients, handle triage, and support the emergency veterinarian with initial care. Additionally, you will work in the laboratory and assist in the care of inpatient animals. The permanent position is to be filled immediately or by arrangement with a workload of 40 to 100 %.

What to expect in this role

• Reception and admission of emergency patients
• Triage and initial assessment in veterinary emergencies
• Coordination and support during initial care together with the veterinary emergency team
• Collection, preparation, and processing of laboratory samples
• Collaboration in the care and treatment of inpatient animals
• Working with diagnostic infrastructure such as in-house laboratory, digital X-ray, ultrasound, CT, and MRI

• Completed training as a Veterinary Practice Assistant EFZ
• Interest in veterinary emergency care
• Confident handling of animals and pet owners
• Ability to work in a structured manner even when several emergencies arrive simultaneously
• Quick comprehension and good observational skills
• Independent and reliable way of working
