Your challenges

As General Manager Switzerland f/m/d, you are responsible for the market entry as well as the operational and commercial establishment of LIKE Transport in Switzerland. At the center is the development of a scalable last-mile business with same-day and next-day deliveries, heavy/bulky and two-man deliveries, as well as assembly and installation services. You report directly to the management of the LIKE Transport Group and are responsible for the following tasks:

• Development and implementation of the Swiss market entry strategy including business plan, location concept, investment requirements as well as revenue, margin and profit targets
• Establishment of the Swiss national organization, recruitment of key personnel as well as the establishment of efficient structures and processes for a legally secure and high-performance operation
• Acquisition of anchor and new customers, processing of tenders as well as the building of a resilient network to parcel service providers in the 1st step and in the 2nd step to retailers, e-commerce companies and shippers
• Establishment and management of strategic partnerships with transport and fleet providers as well as qualified partners for two-man deliveries, assembly and installation
• Operational establishment and scaling of depots, routes, vehicles and capacities while ensuring the agreed service levels and a convincing end-customer experience
• Management of the Swiss company based on relevant KPIs such as revenue, contribution margin, cost per shipment, delivery quality, productivity, damage rate and customer satisfaction

Our requirements

In order to be able to tackle these comprehensive tasks, ideally you bring the following backpack:

• Basic logistical or commercial training with further advanced training in business administration, logistics, supply chain management or equivalent
• Several years of professional experience in parcel logistics, in the KEP or last-mile environment with a proven track record in the establishment, turnaround or scaling of a location, business unit or national business
• Proven P&L responsibility as well as experience in B2B sales, key account management, in tenders and contract negotiations with major customers
• Profound knowledge in depot operations, route planning, fleet and partner management as well as ideally experience with heavy/bulky, two-man deliveries and technical additional services
• A resilient and actively usable network in the Swiss KEP, retail and e-commerce environment is mandatory for this function. You communicate with negotiation proficiency in German and very well in English. French language skills are an advantage
• Your personality: You are an entrepreneurial and implementation-strong personality with a pronounced hands-on mentality, initiative and result orientation. Strategic thinking, operational proximity, resilience, integrity as well as a confident and binding appearance towards customers, employees and business partners round off your profile.
