Head of Warehouse (m/f)

LANZ is a 100-year-old family business with around 90 employees and the market-leading Swiss manufacturing and trading company (sheet metal processing) for cable management material, busbars, and products for electrical workstation supply. Successfully active domestically and abroad. We are looking for reinforcement for our team in the warehouse by agreement.

Your tasks

• As a highly service-oriented personality, you work well with other departments to provide the best possible services for our customers
• Responsibility for the entire warehouse, transport, and packaging logistics
• Ensuring inventory transparency as well as responsibility for inventories
• Personnel and professional leadership of 19 employees as well as coordination of tasks
• Organization and further development of our internal and external warehouses as well as management of external logistics service providers
• Optimization of logistical concepts and interfaces as well as participation in the digitalization and ERP integration of external warehouse processes
• Responsible for the organization and management of the entire goods warehouse
• Responsibility for efficient inbound and outbound processes using ERP
• Close cooperation with procurement, production, sales, transport dispatch, quality, IT and external partners
• Active participation in daily operational business and support of the team during bottlenecks

You bring with you

• Pronounced team player and good assertiveness
• You are a full-blooded logistician with several years of professional and leadership experience in warehouse logistics, ideally in a manufacturing industry or trading company
• Completed vocational training in logistics, ideally supplemented by further training as a logistics specialist, logistics manager, or technician HF business processes/logistics
• Pronounced understanding of warehouse, material flow, and distribution processes as well as experience with external warehouses and 3PL logistics service providers
• You take responsibility for your area and your decisions and approach challenges objectively, solution-oriented and with a focus on sustainable improvements
• Willingness to critically question processes and implement improvements
• Sound MS Office and ERP experience (preferably Microsoft Dynamics BC365)
