Pre-intern Social Work, Job Placement

With around 2400 employees, the Social Department of the City of Zurich works daily for a social Zurich. We are there for everyone and support children, adolescents, and adults in different life situations. We make an important contribution to social cohesion and contribute to a high quality of life in the neighborhoods.

The Arbeitsintegration business area of the Dienstabteilung Soziale Einrichtungen und Betriebe (SEB) includes a range of labor integration offers for adults and adolescents. The aim of the programs is the professional and social integration of the participants.

In the job placement department, we offer the possibility for the Social Work field of study to complete a pre-internship. We are looking for reinforcement starting March 1, 2027, and May 1, 2027, for 8 to 12 months.

Tasks

• You support clients in their job search as part of the Schreibservice offer.
• After thorough induction, you will manage your own cases in the application process.
• You support the coaches and take on organizational and administrative tasks.
• You participate in project groups, team meetings, and case discussions.
• You support the adolescents and young adults of the JOB PLUS offer in their search for apprenticeships, testing, and in their personal development.
• You exchange ideas regularly with other pre-interns.

Profile

• Educational qualification at Secondary Level II (FMS, Matura, EFZ - ideally KV) or university degree and planned entry into professional life.
• Interest in labor integration and enjoyment in accompanying clients in the area of job searching and the preparation of application dossiers.
• Willingness to actively help shape and take on responsibility.
• Independence and confident appearance, high flexibility.
