Job description
Are you looking for a challenge in the integration sector? Do you enjoy working with children of migrants? Are openness, warmth, and flexible and creative thinking among your strengths? Then we are looking for you as a trained childcare specialist specializing in children. Who we are: The Bern regional office of the ECAP Foundation carries out various educational offers for language promotion and for the professional and social integration of migrants. In the Kinderhort kidogo, the children of the participants of the German and literacy courses are professionally cared for. This allows people with small children to attend a language course without having to organize additional childcare for the children. The nursery is open in the mornings and afternoons from Tuesday to Friday. The area of responsibility includes: - Care, support, and supervision of a dynamic group of children between 6 months and 4 years - Maintaining personal relationships with children and parents - Designing need- and age-oriented guided, accompanied, and free sequences - Regular daily responsibilities - Minor planning tasks such as daily planning, projects, and rituals - Regular entrance interviews and settling-in of new children and their families - Active assistance in room design - Independent reflection of one's own attitude and pedagogical work We offer: - An exciting activity in a transcultural environment outside of classical Kita daily life - A small, young, dynamic, and warm team - Appropriate working time for preparation and follow-up of sequences - An open, benevolent, and appreciative atmosphere - The opportunity to contribute your own ideas and actively shape everyday life - Flexibility for part-time workers (half days also possible) - Internal further training opportunities Profile requirements: - Completed training as a childcare specialist child or an equivalent training - An open and interested approach to people with a migration background - Interest in working in the integration sector - Much commitment, warmth, and humor - Creative and networked thinking - Motivation and initiative - The ability to keep a cool head even in hectic situations - Joy in implementing new and extraordinary ideas - Foreign language skills are an advantage For further information, please contact Defne Vuillemier, Head of Childcare, Tel. 031 381 81 40.
