Technical Buyer We are looking, as part of an exclusive mandate, for our client, an industrial company based in Switzerland, active in complex technical projects and high value-added projects. As part of the strengthening of its Purchasing function, we are looking for a Technical Buyer with solid experience in a demanding industrial environment. You will intervene in a strategic perimeter, in close contact with the technical, project and commercial teams. Your role You will intervene in a strategic perimeter covering several product and technical service families. Your mission is to secure purchases in the best technical and commercial conditions, while supporting the company's development projects. At the interface between the technical teams, projects, sales and suppliers, you are a central player in the value chain. You analyze needs, anticipate risks and propose adapted solutions, in a logic of sustainable partnership with suppliers. In this function, you are at the heart of exchanges between internal and external stakeholders. Your daily life is made up of analyses, decisions and technical discussions, with a constant goal: to guarantee reliable, controlled and value-creating purchases. You start by understanding the needs. Those resulting from the calculation of net needs, those carried by the project teams, or those expressed directly by the technical and commercial teams. You challenge them, clarify them and translate them into consistent purchasing solutions, both technically and economically. You are in regular contact with your suppliers. You exchange, negotiate, secure. You build lasting relationships, without losing sight of the requirements of quality, deadlines and costs. When the situation requires it, you go on site, to the supplier, to anticipate risks or resolve critical points. You intervene very early in the projects. Alongside the Technical Office, you contribute to reflections, participate in the definition of specifications and identify partners capable of supporting new developments. Your knowledge of the market and supplier capabilities informs technical decisions. You follow up on orders, monitor services and process deviations when they appear. Non-conformities, delays, technical adjustments: you take charge of the issues and coordinate the necessary actions until they are resolved. Finally, you remain vigilant. You observe market developments, visit suppliers, participate in specialized trade shows and feed the organization with new ideas, new solutions and new opportunities. Your profile This position is aimed at a professional with a solid technical background, complemented by proven experience in industrial purchasing. You have a technical background (CFC or equivalent), ideally enriched by training in purchasing, project management or business engineering. You have significant experience (approx. 10 years) in a similar role, within a technical industrial environment. You are comfortable with reading plans, technical exchanges with design offices and negotiations with demanding suppliers. Organized, rigorous and proactive, you know how to manage your priorities and evolve in close collaboration with other services. Your posture is that of a confirmed negotiator, diplomat, solution-oriented and committed to seeking the best overall performance.
