In our business center in Liebefeld-Bern, we develop innovative high-tech products. An important focus lies on measurement technology, optical sensor technology, and algorithmics. In doing so, we deal with technologically demanding and interdisciplinary systems for medical and industrial applications. We support our national and international customers with innovation projects and accompany development projects from the first idea through design and conception to industrialization. To strengthen our development team, we are looking for a dynamic personality with proven expertise in the field of signal processing and computer vision.

Field of activity

As a member of a multidisciplinary team, you dive into the world of technology and product development for various high-tech industries. You utilize your sound technical expertise in the field of signal processing and computer vision by quickly grasping new tasks, developing creative solution approaches, efficiently developing high-quality code, and visually presenting results in an appealing manner. You explain and represent your contribution to specialists from other areas in an understandable way. With each day, you grow into increasingly demanding projects and network internally as a sought-after specialist. You adapt your approach to take customer priorities into account within the tension between scope, quality, cost, and deadlines. You document and verify code to meet the highest regulatory requirements (Medtech). You view systems holistically to identify weaknesses and opportunities for improvement even outside your primary discipline. You enjoy applying your knowledge in a wide variety of industries, including consumer, Medtech, industry, and infrastructure.

Requirement

• University degree in Computer Science or an equivalent education, with several years of professional experience
• sound knowledge in the design and experimental characterization of optical systems such as cameras, lenses, and lighting
• sound knowledge in the development of algorithms, both rule-based and learning-based
• in-depth experience in robust software design and development of software in a team with Git
• good knowledge in data analysis, statistics, and the visualization of complex datasets
• ability to clearly document and communicate technical content at different levels of abstraction, with subject matter experts in the field of hardware
• enjoyment of versatile tasks throughout the entire product development cycle and of collaborating with different industries
