ICT System Engineer – Datacenter, Virtualization & Citrix 80–100 % Your Tasks As an ICT System Engineer, you take on a central role in the operation and further development of our datacenter, virtualization and are particularly responsible for: Operation, maintenance and further development of our virtualized server and workplace infrastructure Administration and engineering of VMware vSphere, Nutanix and Citrix environments Planning and implementation of infrastructure projects, migrations and lifecycle renewals Construction, configuration and operation of Windows server systems and central platform services Analysis and resolution of complex malfunctions in the 2nd and 3rd level area Ensuring availability, performance, security and recoverability of the systems Further development of our datacenter, storage, backup and network architecture Automation of recurring operational tasks, for example with PowerShell Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, operating concepts and standards Collaboration with internal specialist departments, external partners and manufacturers Technical participation in the strategic further development of our hybrid ICT landscape Classical end-user support is not the focus of this function. However, you support the support team with your in-depth technical know-how for complex questions. Your Profile You have sound experience in the engineering and operation of complex ICT infrastructures and want to take on technical responsibility. For this function, you ideally bring the following: Completed training as Informatiker:in EFZ Plattformentwicklung, Systemtechnik or a comparable further education Several years of professional experience as a System Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or Datacenter Engineer Very good knowledge in at least one virtualization platform, preferably: VMware vSphere and ESXi Nutanix AHV and Nutanix Cloud Platform Microsoft Hyper-V Sound experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC or comparable platforms Very good knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP and certificate services Experience with storage, backup, monitoring and disaster recovery solutions Good knowledge in the areas of network, firewall, VLAN, routing and VPN Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and hybrid identity environments is an advantage Knowledge of PowerShell or a comparable scripting and automation technology is an advantage Ability to analyze complex technical contexts and develop sustainable solutions Independent, structured and responsible way of working Enjoying building technical standards, questioning existing environments and implementing improvements Very good German skills as well as good technical English skills Advantageous: Not all of the following skills are mandatory.
