The contribution you can make

• Perform preparation work, delivery of aircraft to pilots, and takeover of delivery
• Carry out intermediate and restoration checks
• Fulfill periodic maintenance tasks and perform repair work on aircraft
• Participate in training sequences abroad
• Assume the function of technical monitor with the troops in service

What distinguishes you

• AFC as a polymechanic, mechatronic technician or equivalent training with some years of experience ideally in aeronautics; strong interest in aviation and new technologies
• Good skills in the electrical and electronic field
• Sense of responsibility, team spirit, and attitude to transmit parts of technical instruction
• Good psycho-physical resistance, impeccable reputation (employment subject to a <<security check>>)
• Availability and attitude to perform assignments and training at irregular hours (including night assignments, weekends, and public holidays) as well as occasionally abroad
• Good oral knowledge of a second official language and English (level B1)

The Operations Command (Cdo Op) is responsible for all operations and all military assignments of the Swiss Army. It includes, among others, the Air Force, the Land Forces, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT competence center, the special forces command, and the military police. Approximately 40 percent of the nearly 2500 employees are civilian employees: from engineers to aircraft mechanics to analysts.

The Swiss Army employs over 9000 employees within the framework of four military professions and approximately 200 civilian professions, in 110 locations throughout the national territory. Furthermore, it provides for new recruits, training apprentices in over 30 professions.
