Our client is an internationally active manufacturer of high-quality precision parts and supplies various demanding industrial sectors, including medical, automotive, and aeronautics. The company is domiciled in the direct agglomeration of Basel and stands for highest quality, precision, and sustainable customer relationships.

In the course of a planned succession arrangement, we are looking for a committed personality as a sole accountant or financial accountant as of May 2027. The new appointment is due to the retirement of the long-standing job holder. You will take on a versatile and responsible function with a comprehensive induction by the current job holder. This ensures that you are optimally prepared and gradually introduced to the various areas of responsibility.

Your area of responsibility

• Independent management of the financial accounting using ABACUS
• Responsibility for accounts receivable and accounts payable as well as payment processing
• Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, including reconciliation and coordination of the relevant work
• Preparation and support of the audit
• Preparation of VAT returns for Switzerland and Germany
• Carrying out accounting tasks for 5 other, smaller companies in Switzerland
• Preparation of tax returns for the companies
• Contact person for banks, insurance companies, fiduciary partners, and internal departments
• Support with finance-related questions and further development of processes

Your profile

• Commercial basic training with further education in finance and accounting or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in financial accounting, ideally in an independent function
• Proficiency in balance sheets and financial statements according to OR
• Experience with Abacus is an advantage, but not a mandatory requirement
• Good knowledge of Swiss accounting and VAT topics
• Independent, reliable, and structured way of working
• Responsible personality with enjoyment in a versatile task
