The Swiss Competence Center for Corrections (SKJV) is the platform in the field of corrections in Switzerland. Based in Marly (FR), we form the link between German-speaking Switzerland and Latin Switzerland. As an integral part of the SKJV, the specialist unit for Education in Penal Custody (BiSt) ensures the implementation of basic education for adult incarcerated persons in the facilities of penal and measures execution in Switzerland. We are looking for the Kantonalgefängnis Frauenfeld (TG), from 1.11.2026 or by arrangement, a Teacher of Education in Penal Custody 40% - Kantonalgefängnis Frauenfeld Your tasks Promoting competencies in the following areas: general education topics (ABU), German and German as a second language (DaZ), literacy, basics of mathematics, ICT basics; Accompanying incarcerated persons from different cultural backgrounds on their individual educational path; Maintaining quality standards; Further developing the educational offering, also in the digital area; Collaborating with the various stakeholders as well as participating in intercantonal meetings with other teachers in corrections. Your profile Master Secondary Level 1 or equivalent training; At least 2–4 years of teaching experience, ideally in adult education, with corresponding methodological competencies; Affinity for digital teaching methods; Strong communication skills; Strong social competence and the ability to awaken the joy of learning; Good Swiss German skills.
