An apprenticeship at Spital Muri is varied, practical, and future-oriented. In a family atmosphere, we train nine different apprenticeships - always with people at the center. Around 940 employees are committed daily to the well-being of our over 80-000 patients.For August 2027, we offer an exciting and versatile training as an Apprentice Cook EFZ in the healthcare sector. You will receive a comprehensive insight into daily hospital life and will be supported and promoted individually and competently.

The training - What awaits you? ###

• During your three-year training period, you will work in various areas of the kitchen and acquire broad knowledge in various topics such as food, cooking methods, up to nutrition. You cook for patients, visitors, and the employees of our hospital and assist in the preparation of banquets. In addition to classical cuisine, you also have the opportunity to prepare exotic dishes for various stakeholder groups in the hospital. You can also contribute your own ideas and wishes in the hospital kitchen. To deepen your theoretical knowledge, you will attend the vocational school in Aarau and complete the inter-company courses of the health industry. It is also possible to complete the training with us with Berufsmatur.

Vacation ###

You benefit from vacations between 25 and 30 working days (depending on age) as well as 13 paid holidays. Additionally, you have the option to purchase 5 vacation days.

Working hours ###

The standard working time in the company for a full-time position is 42 hours per week (excluding doctors). Annual working hours apply, which ensures the highest possible flexibility in the design of working hours. Shift requests will be implemented if possible, and part-time employment is possible in many functions - also in management positions.

We value adequate social benefits. For night, weekend, and holiday work, we compensate you with fair supplements. We insure your salary with the pension fund Profond without coordination deduction (excluding doctors). The salaries of doctors are insured with the Vorsorgestiftung VSAO.
