For the national accident insurance company with a statutory prevention mandate, we are looking for a female civil engineer / male civil engineer or a female master builder / male master builder for the field of occupational safety and health protection. The function combines technical construction practice with inspection, consulting, and accident investigation. The focus is on safe construction sites as well as the handling of construction hazardous substances, especially asbestos.

Your tasks:

• Inspections on construction sites regarding occupational safety and health protection
• Consulting insured companies on the handling of construction hazardous substances, namely asbestos
• Risk assessment on-site and agreement of individual measures with the companies
• Verification of the agreed measures and professional support for the implementation
• Investigations in case of occupational accidents directly on-site, cause analysis and documentation
• Participation in internal working groups, projects and specialist committees
• Contribution to fundamentals, information media and prevention of occupational accidents and occupational diseases
• where possible, lecturing and teaching activities

Your profile:

• Degree as a civil engineer (FH / ETH) or as a master builder
• Several years of professional experience in construction, preferably with construction hazardous substances / asbestos
• Willingness to complete a recognized training in the field of occupational safety, if not already present (ASGS / safety engineer EKAS)
• Independent, responsible way of working and ability to work in a team
• Confident, objective appearance even in conflict situations on the construction site
• German at native speaker level in speaking and writing; second national language is an advantage
• Willingness for field assignments on construction sites (German-speaking Switzerland)
