Age, from 38 years, with a heart for people affected by poverty and at risk of poverty. The Internetcafé Planet13 project is a special project in all of Switzerland, founded by those affected by/at risk of poverty for other people in need (form of self-management).

Job description

We are looking for a person with life experience who brings professional experience from social engagement and wants to commit themselves to us in a social, multicultural project. Age, from 38 years, with a heart for people affected by poverty and at risk of poverty. The Internetcafé Planet13 project is a special project in all of Switzerland, founded by those affected by/at risk of poverty for other people in need (form of self-management).

Your tasks

• You represent the Internetcafé Planet13 project internally and externally, as well as its values and concerns
• You participate in social committees regarding poverty issues
• You are responsible for the organization of the team and are the contact person for the guests of the project
• You generally advocate for a socio-political understanding in the field of poverty issues, poverty prevention and combating poverty
• Demanding correspondence as well as annual reports
• Fundraising, funding applications, budget, acknowledgments

Your profile

• Professional experience in the social sector of Switzerland, particularly in poverty prevention and combating poverty, training in Social Work or comparable qualification
• Experience in dealing with fundraising and funding applications
• High communication skills, resilience, social competence, discretion
• Service orientation and an appreciative manner with guests, networking partners, sponsors, team, support of a positive team culture
• Interest and commitment in the field of socio-political topics and questions, especially in poverty issues and the concerns of the people directly affected
• Style-confident, very good German in spoken and written form
• Good IT skills as well as good knowledge of data protection
• Good knowledge of social assistance law (Canton BS), for the legal advice of our guests and team members
• Foreign language skills are an advantage
• Initiative, personal responsibility and scope for design
