Counting nearly 1'200 employees, the Département de médecine aiguë (D-MA) includes the Services of clinical anesthesiology, pharmacology and toxicology, intensive care and emergencies. It fulfills a quadruple mission through its services which provide their expertise in frequent interaction with all the Hôpitaux universitaires de Genève, thanks to a transversal platform, with the objective of ensuring the best possible care for patients.
The Service d’anesthésiologie is a transversal service of the HUG at the heart of the technical platform. With its 8 medical units and one research and innovation unit, its mission aims to ensure the comfort and safety of patients during therapeutic or diagnostic acts, medical or surgical, as well as during post-interventional care, while ensuring proper pain management.
As the largest center in Switzerland in the number of interventional acts performed per year, the Service d’anesthésiologie is at the forefront of progress made in this field. The service also provides pre- and post-graduate and continuing education for nurses and doctors in specialized training. As a service of prestations, anesthesiology also intervenes in the field of interventional analgesia and in life-threatening emergency situations intra-hospital or pre-hospital alongside the Service des urgences.

As part of your function in the Service d'anesthésiologie, you will participate in the care of patients in collaboration with a large team of nursing and nursing assistant staff within the operating theaters or in post-interventional care units.
You assist the patient with hygiene care or other daily living activities.
You ensure the maintenance and cleaning of anesthesia equipment and devices according to the hygiene rules in force at the HUG.
You guarantee the replenishment of anesthesia SAS, specific procedure baskets, and stocks between surgical interventions.
You also manage the stocks of common material used by the employees of the Service d'anesthésiologie.
Qualifications
You possess an attestation of professional training (AFP) as a care and support assistant or a nursing assistant certificate and you have perfect mastery of the French language both written and oral.
You benefit from at least two years of experience in a hospital environment, ideally in acute care (emergencies, operating rooms, intermediate care, intensive care, etc.).
Autonomous, you have a sense of priorities and good ability to manage stress.
You execute the tasks entrusted to you with precision and rigor.
You are a person interested in technology and have good physical resistance.
Your good knowledge of the HUG as well as your ability to adapt are real assets for working within a large multidisciplinary team.
Additional information
You work with irregular schedules distributed over the 7 days of the week. On-call shifts on weekends and public holidays are to be expected within the HUG physiotherapy network.
