Legal Counsel

Job Description ##

In your capacity as a legal counsel within the Pôle autorisations et doléances, you are responsible for handling complex legal situations in the field of patient rights, complaints and health advice, ensuring the processing of appeal procedures and guaranteeing compliance with legal provisions.

Responsibilities ##

• Analyze and process complex files of the Pôle autorisations et doléances relating to the management of grievances and patient rights and draft appropriate decisions
• Process complaints addressed to the Département de la santé et de l-action sociale involving legal aspects (consultation of legal bases, expert consultations/mandates, etc.) and propose draft responses
• Coordinate, in the absence of the grievance management referent, the processing of complaints with the relevant bodies: Commission des plaintes, bureau de médiation santé et social, conseil de santé and other bodies (Centre hospitalier universitaire vaudois, Association vaudoise d-aide et de soins à domicile, etc.)
• Process appeal procedures against decisions taken by the Commission d'examen des plaintes des patients, résidents ou usagers d'établissements sanitaires et d'établissements socio-éducatifs, in collaboration with the legal counsel of the pole
• Ensure the application of laws and their implementing regulations
• Provide legal support and expertise for the pole and the department regarding patient rights.

Qualifications ##

• Master in law and bar admission
• Postgraduate training in health law (MAS or DAS) desired
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the legal field and 3 years in the field of health law
• Global vision and sense of perspective
• Writing skills
• Very good personal organization and time management
• Excellent analytical and synthesis skills
• Proficiency in standard IT tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Good knowledge of German and English (min. level B2)

In the event of replacement of the legal counsel of the Conseil de santé, be available to participate in the evenings in the hearings and plenary sessions of the Conseil de santé.
