As of 1 October 2026, we are looking for a school assistant for an assignment in childcare at Schule Hirzenbach.

Tasks ##

• Accompanying and providing simple guidance to classes/groups and/or individual students in everyday school and/or childcare (instruction and/or childcare)
• Accompanying and providing simple guidance to students during practice sessions, according to the instructions of the class/special education teachers and/or the childcare team
• Promoting the attention, independence, and reliability of the students
• Accompanying students during breaks, on the school route (school route escort) or to external therapies and school offers such as school trips, excursions, and class camps (if required and in consultation with the class or childcare team)
• Maintenance, tidying up, and preparation of materials (e.g., teaching materials, toys, etc.)
• Simple administrative and organizational work at the class/group level (e.g., absence list)
• Participation in school events
• Domestic tasks, including cleaning the kitchen and preparing meals in compliance with catering guidelines, safety, and hygiene regulations
• Working hours: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri from 11:00 - 13:45 and Tue/Fri additionally from 15:30 - 17:30

• Enjoyment of school- and family-supplementary work with children
• Professional experience in working with children of primary school age is an advantage

The Schulkreis Schwamendingen includes the entire Stadtkreis 12 of the Stadt Zürich. Schwamendingen is a lively, multiculturally composed residential district. We are easily accessible via public transport via Bahnhof Stettbach and Oerlikon with various tram and bus lines.

The Schule Hirzenbach in Zürich-Schwamendingen is a QUIMS school and has been run as a day school since the 2019/2020 school year. The Tageschule Hirzenbach includes various teaching and childcare areas for students attending one of the 7 kindergarten and 17 primary classes. Catering is ensured by its own large regeneration kitchen.
