The vocational training center BBZ Solothurn-Grenchen is the regional competence center for basic and continuing vocational education and training and comprises five service areas (EBZ Solothurn-Grenchen, GIBS Grenchen, GIBS Solothurn, KBS Solothurn, ZeitZentrum Grenchen). The Gewerblich-Industrielle Berufsfachschule GIBS Solothurn educates well over 1'500 apprentices in basic vocational training. For the Gewerblich-Industrielle Berufsfachschule GIBS Solothurn, we are looking for a Prorector, 80-100%, starting on or after agreement.

Your responsibility

• Within the framework of BBZ Solothurn-Grenchen, you support the Rector in the service areas of GIBS Solothurn with the professions in the areas of automotive technology, mechanical engineering, gastronomy, informatics/mediamatics, and interior design. In particular, you support the pedagogical management and ensure personnel leadership of a department.
• You check and support that the instruction provided and the services rendered correspond to the current requirements of the educational partners.
• The assumption of school-wide and area-wide tasks of BBZ Solothurn-Grenchen also belongs to your sphere of influence.
• You provide instruction in the amount of 6 to 9 lessons.
• As a member of the school management of GIBS Solothurn, you work actively with the school management on overarching topics, tasks, and projects.

Your profile

• You have a professional or university degree or equivalent training; leadership experience is an advantage.
• Several years of teaching experience at the Sek II level, sound knowledge of the Swiss educational landscape, and active contacts to the working world distinguish you. Ideally, you have experience in trade and industry.
• Experience as a project manager of various educational projects ideally rounds off your profile.
• Working with young people and teaching brings you joy, you lead cooperatively, and you are a good motivator.
• Furthermore, you are business-oriented, open to change, innovative, capable of compromise, loyal, and proficient in dealing with new technologies.
