Healthcare Specialist EFZ Acute Geriatrics 60-100%

For an established institution in the field of geriatric medicine in Basel and the Basel region, we are looking for committed Healthcare Specialists EFZ. In this role, you will care for and accompany elderly patients in a specialized geriatric hospital environment and actively contribute your nursing experience to everyday work.

You can expect a varied activity in a professional and appreciative environment. Assignments take place during day and late shifts; night shifts are not planned. You will work closely with various professional groups and have the opportunity to actively participate in the further development of nursing workflows and processes.

Requirement Profile ##

• Completed training as a Healthcare Specialist EFZ or equivalent, SRK-recognized training
• Several years of professional experience in the acute care sector
• Joy in the care and support of elderly people
• Independent and responsible way of working
• Good observational skills and security in everyday nursing practice
• Team-oriented, reliable and committed personality
• Openness to change and interest in the further development of work processes
• Good German language skills in speaking and writing
• Good IT user knowledge

Tasks ##

• Professional care and support of elderly patients
• Independent implementation of nursing measures within your own area of competence
• Implementation of planned nursing and treatment measures
• Observation of the health status and communication of relevant changes
• Performance of medical-technical tasks
• Support of patients in activities of daily living
• Close cooperation with nursing specialists as well as other medical and therapeutic professional groups
• Careful maintenance of the electronic nursing documentation
• Active participation in the optimization of workflows and nursing processes
• Assignments in day and late shifts without night shifts
