Zollikofen BE (and home office) | 80-100% This is the contribution you can make • You analyze complex data sets in the GEVER environment, recognize anomalies, and create sound technical decision-making bases. • You systematically check data quality and implement suitable cleaning, harmonization, and validation measures. • You develop, optimize, and document SQL queries, scripts, as well as automated analysis and testing routines. • For relational databases, you take over operation, monitoring, and further development, ensuring performance, availability, and stability. • You plan and test backup, restore, recovery, and restart procedures and use them reliably in the event of an incident. • You participate actively in data migrations, fault analyses, and further development projects and work closely with specialist departments, operations, development, and external partners. <br /> This makes you unique • You have a degree in computer science, business informatics, data engineering, data science, or a comparable education and further training. • You bring several years of experience in the database environment as well as very good knowledge of relational databases, SQL, data models, and performance analysis. • You have practical experience in the analysis of complex data sets, in data quality, data cleaning, migrations, as well as ETL or ELT processes. • You are proficient in at least one scripting or programming language, for example, PowerShell or Python. • You possess a good understanding of backup, restore, recovery, monitoring, operating systems, interfaces, and application architectures. • You convince with analytical thinking, high personal responsibility, and a careful way of working, as well as with good knowledge of an official language and English skills. <br /> In a nutshell You are not looking for a classic database administrator position and nor a pure data scientist function. You want to understand data, determine technical causes, and at the same time take responsibility for stable database platforms.
