The Institut für Finanzdienstleistungen Zug IFZ offers training and continuing education in the financial sector and processes research and consulting projects for the financial industry. To strengthen our team, we are looking for you immediately or by arrangement as a PhD Student in the field of Banking 70%

Your tasks

• You develop a dissertation in the field of Banking. A technology-related question is preferred, particularly in the areas of Distributed-Ledger-Technologie (DLT), artificial intelligence or another technology relevant to banking.
• You participate content-wise and conceptually in practice-oriented research and consulting projects and write studies, reports and other publications.
• The supervision of student work complements your field of activity.
• You support the design, implementation and evaluation of our continuing education offers.
• You have the opportunity to gain initial experience in teaching.

Your profile

• You have a very good university degree in Banking & Finance, economics, business informatics, Data Science or a related field.
• Admission to doctoral studies at a university has already been obtained is an advantage.
• You are interested in questions in banking and ideally have corresponding practical or research experience.
• Your demonstrated specialist and methodological competence as well as very good analytical skills will facilitate your entry.
• You bring very good German skills (at least C1) as well as stylish communication in English.
• You have solid programming skills, especially for data analysis and empirical research work.
