DeltaV Automation Engineer (EI&C)

Purely site-based role This is a purely on-site presence function. Direct collaboration on-site promotes close real-time exchange and ensures the technical precision required for the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals according to the highest quality and safety standards.

Your tasks:

• Planning and configuration of Emerson DeltaV automation solutions, control strategies, interfaces, visualizations, and alarming structures for site-related CAPEX projects.
• Management of the entire project lifecycle in close, cross-functional collaboration with the teams from Engineering, Operations, Validation, Quality Assurance, and Project Management.
• Leading system integration activities to connect DeltaV to process plants, SPS/PLCs, utility systems, and MES platforms.
• Creation, execution, and maintenance of GxP-compliant documentation, including protocols for commissioning, qualification, and validation (FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ).
• Hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve complex automation and communication problems.
• Consistent compliance with GMP standards, data integrity guidelines, and formal change management procedures.
• Technical guidance and mentoring of junior team members as well as co-designing continuous improvement processes in the field of process automation.

What you bring:

• Completed studies in automation technology, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrable practical experience in the development and configuration of Emerson DeltaV systems in a regulated Life Sciences environment.
• Sound knowledge regarding GxP compliance, data integrity guidelines, and formal validation and qualification methods (FAT/SAT/IQ/OQ).
• Proven experience in troubleshooting complex control systems and communication interfaces within the framework of handling CAPEX projects.
• Fluent German skills (required), business fluent English (preferred).
• Strong technical problem-solving competence and excellent communication skills in interdisciplinary teams.
