Head Nurse of care units for the medicine department at 80 to 100%

Your mission

The medicine department has 40 inpatient beds and is organized into two sectors. Its mission is to ensure the clinical care of all adult patients in the Broye region requiring internal medicine services. The department works closely with intensive care, emergencies, and the CTR of Estavayer-le-Lac. The nursing team is composed of approximately 40 FTE under the supervision of two ICUS.

Your responsibilities will be as follows:

• Guarantee the proper care of patients in the units for which you are responsible, according to a patient-family centered care approach
• Ensure staff supervision
• Lead and support the team to promote its development and reflective practice
• Plan, organize, coordinate, and monitor the implementation of unit activities
• Ensure team coaching focused on clinical support by guaranteeing the monitoring of good practices
• Promote and practice interprofessional collaboration
• Participate in the application and monitoring of care services and safety measures
• Manage and facilitate various meetings
• Plan and conduct staff appraisal interviews
• Ensure good upward, downward, and horizontal transmission of information with all partners
• Initiate and conduct practice analyses in the unit aiming to improve quality of care, patient management, and work processes.

Your assets

Benefiting from a HES diploma in nursing, you possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of hospital care. Experience in surgery as well as confirmed experience in management are assets. You also possess level 1 management training, or are ready to undergo it. Equipped with a spirit of initiative and a good sense of responsibility, you demonstrate excellent capacities for analysis, synthesis, adaptation, and communication. Of an open nature, you are a source of proposals and have a marked interest in collaborating in a multidisciplinary manner and with the health network. Excellent mastery of French (spoken and written), as well as IT tools, are indispensable.
