The DISG implements the law on social institutions as well as the Betreuungs- und Pflegegesetz. Furthermore, it processes applications for Opferhilfe and advises victims of crimes. It coordinates social assistance, commits to equal opportunity, and promotes integration in the areas of child-youth-family, woman and man, and in the area of migration.

Do you want to achieve real impact with controlling? In this role, you will design and negotiate the financing of services for people with disabilities as well as for children and adolescents, analyze developments, and together with a motivated team, help shape the social services of tomorrow.

Your tasks

• As a competent contact person for social institutions and employees of the department, you will provide targeted advice on business management issues.
• Analyze and assess annual financial statements and cost accounting (BAB) of social institutions as part of the annual reporting and create tariff calculations, operational comparisons, as well as analyses of cost and performance development.
• Negotiate the annual performance agreements with the social institutions together with the social pedagogical specialists and ensure transparent, needs-oriented, and financially solid service management.
• Actively support the planning and controlling process of the department - from budgeting to reporting to the annual financial statements - and continuously develop processes, methods, and tools.
• Assess investment projects of social institutions from a financial perspective and participate actively in projects of our specialist departments, contributing your financial expertise.

Your profile

• You have a degree at FH level or higher in business administration, controlling, or accounting and have supplemented your qualifications with suitable further training.
• Your several years of experience in controlling enables you to safely analyze complex business management issues and prepare sound decisions.
• In cooperation with social institutions and internal specialists, you bring both technical understanding as well as enthusiasm for social topics and convince with clear communication and your strong negotiation skills.
• Your enjoyment of using IT tools as well as an affinity for digitalization will support you in further developing processes.
• Ideally, you bring knowledge of public administration, the SEG-/IVSE area, or the social insurance system - or you acquire it with motivation to actively further develop the specialist department.
