The Stiftung Salome Brunner is committed to around 300 children and adolescents with language development disorders and learning difficulties. With our various schools, we see ourselves as an important part of the educational landscape of the Canton of Bern. The Sprachheilschule Wabern is a special public school for children and adolescents with a complex language development disorder as well as an intellectual disability and comprises 21 classes from the primary level to the vocational preparatory school year (BVS). Small classes enable addressing the individual needs of the students. Speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy take place as individual therapy. Tasks ###

• You teach 19 lessons according to LP21, together with a school assistant or another special education teacher, usually in pairs - As a class teacher, you take over the coordination in the interdisciplinary team and are the interface to the parents - The class consists of 6 children between 7 and 10 years old - All children are affected by language impairments and a cognitive impairment - Working days: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

Requirements ###

• completed degree in school special education or a teaching diploma, preferably with teaching experience in the special education field - Joy and interest in working with children with special needs in the areas of language, communication, behavior, and learning - Interest in working interdisciplinary and supporting each other - You have a concept of individualized instruction and the procedure in demanding situations - open, team player, and flexible
