The Repair Engineer Controller & Mechatronics is responsible for the professional analysis, diagnosis, repair, and testing of VAT control valves, controllers, and electronic assemblies in the Service Center Switzerland. The focus is on the repair and fault analysis of VAT control systems and their electronic control units across various product generations. In addition to sound knowledge of electrical engineering and electronics, he/she possesses a good understanding of mechanical assemblies to reliably identify and rectify faults in the overall system. He/she ensures high-quality, timely, and cost-efficient execution of repairs and contributes to the continuous improvement of repair processes and product quality.   MAIN TASK AND ACTIVITY  • Analysis, diagnosis, and repair of VAT controllers, control devices, and electronic assemblies. • Execution of fault analyses on electrical, electronic, and electromechanical systems. • Disassembly, assembly, and repair of control valves, actuators, and associated mechanical assemblies. • Execution of test, calibration, functional, and final tests according to testing specifications. • Application of measuring and testing equipment for systematic troubleshooting. • Analysis of failure causes as well as documentation of repair and test results. • Support in the technical evaluation of new and existing controller and control valve generations. • Identification of recurring error patterns and introduction of improvement measures. • Internal communication with Engineering, Quality, and other specialist departments regarding technical questions. • Participation in the VAT internal CIP process.   KEY EXPERIENCES - Which experiences bring success to this position? • Experience in the repair, maintenance, or servicing of electronic, electromechanical, or mechatronic systems. • Good knowledge of electronics, electrical engineering, or automation technology. • Experience in handling measuring and testing devices. • Ability to systematically analyze and resolve electronic faults. • Technical understanding of mechanical assemblies and their interaction with electronic controls. • Experience with servo, drive, or control technology is an advantage. • Knowledge in reading electrical circuit diagrams as well as technical drawings. • Analytical and solution-oriented mindset.   COMPETENCIES - Which competencies bring success in this position? • Completed technical vocational training as an electronics technician, automation technician, mechatronics technician, electromechanical technician, or comparable qualification. • Good knowledge of electronics and electrical fault diagnosis. • Understanding of mechanical systems and their repair. • Experience in reading and interpreting electrical circuit diagrams, technical drawings, and parts lists. • Confident handling of measuring and testing equipment. • Independent, structured, and quality-oriented way of working. • Ability to work in a team and good communication skills. • Good IT skills (ERP, MS Office). • Good English skills for documentation and internal communication. • High resilience, flexibility, and willingness to learn.
