A leading player in hydroelectricity, it intervenes throughout the entire life cycle of projects, from feasibility studies to the commissioning and rehabilitation of structures. As part of our activities in Switzerland, and particularly in French-speaking Switzerland, we are looking for an engineer in hydroelectric developments to join our team of specialized engineers and designers in Martigny, or in Sion. In this position, you will play a crucial role in our current services for the design and improvement of the safety and performance of hydroelectric infrastructures, while contributing to the development and maintenance of strong relationships with our clients. Your expertise will allow for the proposal of innovative, sustainable technical solutions that comply with the most demanding engineering standards: Your tasks and responsibilities will include: • Design of new hydroelectric developments (Greenfield) in Switzerland and particularly in Valais, from the initial design phases to completion • Study of rehabilitation and upgrading of existing developments or power plants • Coordination/realization of assessment studies of hydraulic structures such as water intakes, pressure tunnels, lined shafts, penstocks and tailrace canals • Experience in head loss calculations and energy yield simulation • Cost estimation and preparation of implementation budgets • Preparation of tender documents, evaluation for award and preparation of contracts • Proactive collaboration with engineering and modeling teams • Construction site supervision Required profile • Experience in the design and dimensioning of hydroelectric structures • Understanding and general knowledge of electromechanical and hydromechanical equipment of hydroelectric developments • EPF, HES Switzerland engineering degree or judged equivalent • At least 5 years of confirmed experience in the context of projects related to hydroelectricity • Good knowledge of Swiss standards and directives • Oral and written communication skills in French mandatory. Proficiency in German and English is an asset
