Job Description Your Role: In this key position, you take over the strategic overall responsibility for the medical informatics department and the further development of ICT governance within the organization. You actively shape the digital transformation and ensure that technological initiatives are closely linked to clinical and operational requirements. As a central interface between management, medical management, and IT, you are responsible for defining and implementing strategies, controlling complex application landscapes, and developing sustainable governance, security, and architecture structures in the healthcare environment. Your Tasks: Strategic management and further development of the medical informatics department and ICT governance Development, control, and implementation of the digitization and ICT strategy in agreement with the overall strategy Overall responsibility for hospital applications and medical IT systems including prioritization and control Leadership of the organization at a strategic level including responsibility for team structures and operational units Further development of governance models, service architectures, as well as security and data protection concepts Ensuring an effective Information Security Management System Advising management and medical management bodies on strategic IT issues Representation of the organization to external partners as well as control of suppliers and service providers Sought Profile You have in-depth experience in a strategic leadership role at the interface of IT, digitization, and organization, ideally in the healthcare sector or in a comparably regulated environment. You have already successfully developed and implemented company-wide strategies in the areas of IT, applications, or digitization. In addition, you bring a pronounced understanding of complex application landscapes, governance structures, as well as security and data protection requirements.
