The contribution you can make

• Provide advice to the Operations Command clients on all ICT issues and actively contribute to shaping long-term strategies
• Direct small-scale ICT projects, contribute to and plan larger projects and estimate the need for IT services (hardware and software)
• Coordinate and implement ICT projects, training and standards in collaboration with subordinate superusers on a technical level
• Ensure rapid and competent problem resolution and the availability of ICT resources in accordance with service level agreements and service performance contracts
• Prepare, test and implement system changes (hardware and software) in accordance with current regulations

What distinguishes you

• University or professional university school diploma (FH, HES, university, at bachelor or master level) in computer science or equivalent training
• The CFC diploma in computer science is an asset
• In-depth knowledge in requirements engineering and experience collaborating with business analysis teams
• Ability to think analytically and systemically as well as a strong orientation toward customers and services
• Autonomous, goal-oriented and quality-driven way of working
• Notable communication skills, team spirit and good written and oral knowledge of a second official language

The Operations Command (Cdo Op) is responsible for all operations and all military deployments of the Swiss Army. It includes, among others, the Air Force, the Land Forces, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT competence center, the special forces command and the military police. Approximately 40 percent of the nearly 2500 employees are civilians: from engineers to aircraft mechanics to analysts.

The Swiss Army employs over 9000 employees within the framework of four military professions and approximately 200 civil professions, in 110 locations throughout the national territory. It also provides for new recruits, training apprentices in over 30 professions.
