Our Opportunity

Within our Assembly Manufacture, based in Neuchâtel, we are looking for a:

Methods & Industrialization Engineer

Reporting to the Production and Industrialization Manager, your main mission is to support the industrialization, process optimization, and performance improvement of our bracelet production workshop.

Missions ##

A true technical reference, you bring your expertise to manufacturing processes and actively contribute to the reliability of methods, the resolution of field issues, and the deployment of continuous improvement initiatives. You also play a key role in identifying innovative technological solutions and developing suitable industrial means, in close connection with production and the Automation team.

Technical expertise in manufacturing processes

In charge of the industrialization of new products, you coordinate and manage the industrialization projects of new bracelets and watches, ensuring compliance with deadlines, costs, and quality.

In this capacity, you work from a perspective of process standardization, in collaboration with the different production sectors.

You ensure the realization of industrial plans and tooling plans and take responsibility for the procurement of the latter.

You master the key trades in the manufacturing of our bracelets: polishing, machining, welding, and assembly; and integrate issues related to materials and material deformation in order to guarantee industrial feasibility and product compliance.

You contribute to prototyping activities, process fine-tuning, and technical documentation for new products.

Finally, you actively contribute to root cause analyses and the implementation of corrective actions.

Continuous improvement and innovation

You actively drive the continuous improvement approach in production, both for processes and procedures.

You define the most efficient manufacturing and assembly processes and procedures while optimizing existing processes (time, workstation ergonomics, tooling, etc.).

Sensitive to Lean Manufacturing, you are responsible for embodying this culture within the production workshops by leading various projects.

You ensure technological monitoring to promote the development of new processes, for which you manage the integration.

Eager to participate in the good performance of the production teams, you proactively identify improvements in productivity, quality, or repeatability.

Automation

In close connection with the two teams, you are the interface between the workshop and the Automation team, aiming for the development of special machines dedicated to our bracelet manufacturing or watch assembly activities.

You formalize field needs and write the specifications that will allow the definition of the most suitable technical solutions.

Then, you ensure the follow-up of the development phases, testing, and the implementation of new means in production.

Identification and installation of new equipment

An expert in our manufacturing processes, you identify which equipment is most suitable for our production and carry out the various actions to acquire them: benchmark, testing, ROI calculations, etc.

Accompanied by General Services, you then manage the installation of new machines in our workshops.

To this end, you guarantee the consistency of our infrastructure with respect to the machines to be implemented and ensure a compliant and optimized implementation according to our production flow.

Finally, you follow the commissioning, qualification, and integration of the equipment.

Profile ##

Holding a higher education degree (technician or engineer), you have a proven experience of at least 5 years in a production environment.

You have solid experience in methods and industrialization, continuous improvement, and process optimization. You also possess knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles that you have already had the opportunity to put into practice within a workshop.

You are comfortable with Microsoft Office, you also have knowledge of SAP as well as drafting plans on CREO or equivalent tools.

You possess a great capacity for synthesis and analysis, which allows you to manage the complexity of cross-functional projects. Result-oriented, you actively propose solutions to achieve set objectives and continually bring new improvement ideas. Your autonomy and rigor are recognized, and you demonstrate tenacity to successfully carry out the missions entrusted to you.

Endowed with excellent communication skills and flexibility, you are also recognized for your diplomacy and pedagogical skills. You attach great importance to team spirit, taking into account the needs and constraints of other departments. Your interpersonal skills allow you to establish effective links and synergies.
