Our client is a recognized Swiss health institution, serving a large regional population. It relies on committed multidisciplinary teams and modern infrastructure to offer quality services and ensure optimal care for its patients. Ideally located on the Côte, between Geneva and Lausanne, the institution is pursuing its development and attaches particular importance to the quality of its processes and its medical-nursing documentation. In this context, it wishes to strengthen its team and has mandated us for the recruitment of a Medical Coder ## At the heart of the institution's medico-economic challenges, you will play a key role in the quality and reliability of medical coding. You will join an experienced and collaborative team, in a varied function that combines expertise, exchanges with healthcare professionals, and participation in improvement projects. Main Responsibilities ### • Ensure complete and reliable coding of hospital stays, in both acute care and rehabilitation, according to ICD and CHOP classifications and current directives. • Analyze medical-nursing files to guarantee a faithful and exhaustive translation of care into coding. • Control and finalize coded files by ensuring the consistency of data and the assigned DRG. • Contribute to the various stages of coding closure and compliance with periodic deadlines. • Ensure the follow-up of files during audits or requests for justification from paying organizations, by arguing the codification choices. • Work in close collaboration with physicians, nursing teams, and other internal interlocutors in order to improve the quality and exhaustiveness of clinical documentation. • Advise and raise awareness among healthcare professionals regarding coding challenges and the quality of documented information. • Follow the evolution of catalogs, codification rules, and tariff structures and contribute to their integration into internal practices. • Participate in the optimization of coding processes and tools, notably through continuous improvement projects. • Share your expertise within the team and contribute to the training and support of employees. Your Profile ### • You have confirmed experience in medical coding, ideally acquired within a hospital environment. • You master the SwissDRG and ST-Reha tariff systems as well as the principles and rules that govern medical coding. • You hold a higher education degree in the medical, nursing, or medico-technical field, or a degree deemed equivalent. • You have completed your background with specific training in medical coding; the federal certificate of specialist in medical coding constitutes an additional asset. • You are comfortable with IT tools and specialized software related to coding and hospital data management. • You possess good analytical skills, demonstrate rigor, and know how to take a step back in the face of complex situations. • Autonomous and organized, you know how to manage priorities and respect deadlines. • You enjoy teamwork and know how to collaborate effectively with interlocutors from different health professions. • Curious and open to evolutions in your field, you are interested in new practices, digital tools, and continuous improvement.
