Head of Youth Work

Help shape the youth work of tomorrow! The youth work of Plattform Glattal is in an exciting development process. As the new Head of Department, you will play an important role.

Plattform Glattal is a specialist in social services and operates various offers in the areas of work integration, youth work, residential support, and counseling. The association, founded in 1995 with the supporting municipalities of Bassersdorf, Dietlikon, Nürensdorf, Opfikon, Kloten, and Wallisellen, employs around 80 employees in 9 decentralized operations in the region.

The youth work of Plattform Glattal is active in 9 municipalities with youth centers (OJUGA) and outreach youth work (AJUGA). It is close to the young people, addresses current topics, and recognizes developments early. You will lead the department with around 25 employees and move between leadership, technical expertise, municipal development, and networking.

Your tasks ###

• You lead the youth work department technically, personally, organizationally, and financially
• You actively participate in the further development of the department in the ongoing participation and co-determination process (September 2026 to end of 2027), implement the resulting orientation, and continue it in the long term
• You are responsible for the implementation of the operational concepts and compliance with the service agreements with our clients
• You continuously secure and further develop the technical quality of the department
• You are regularly present at the various locations
• You ensure a good quality of training for our employees in training and also work in practical training
• As a member of the management team, you actively shape the further development of the overall organization
• You participate in internal and external specialist committees
• You maintain active cooperation with municipalities and other partners

• You are an experienced leader who enjoys taking responsibility, promoting people, and simultaneously keeping an overview
• You have tertiary-level training in the social sector and have further educated yourself in the field of leadership
• You know youth work from your own, multi-year professional experience
• You think strategically, enjoy networked working, and get things moving
• You bring political intuition and negotiation skills
• Clear communication, initiative, and decisiveness characterize you
