Acute ward B1 with treatment focus on neuropsychiatry

The focus of the ward, which has an assessment character, lies both in performing multidimensional diagnostics and in the treatment of mobile and immobile patients with psychiatric concomitant symptoms, motor restlessness, behavioral abnormalities, as well as self-harm or danger to others within the framework of dementia or delirium.

During a short- to medium-term inpatient treatment, we facilitate the stabilization of complex situations by involving resource-oriented and milieu-therapeutic approaches as well as pharmacological interventions. In cooperation with our social service, we advise nursing relatives/caregivers and look for suitable aftercare support options or future suitable forms of care. Palliative Care plays a large role in the treatment of people with dementia.

The B1 ward has 17 beds and an additional room for sensory shielding. Our nursing team consists of specialists in psychiatric nursing, long-term care, and acute somatic care.

Your tasks

Flexibility and enjoyment of variety are central points. Because that is exactly what working in acute psychiatry means.

• the individual care and support of male and female patients and contact with relatives within the framework of primary nursing
• supporting patients in activities of daily living and accompaniment in crisis situations
• coordination as well as planning of treatment with the responsible doctors and therapists
• leading individual conversations, group offerings, and reports

Your profile

You have training as a nurse HF or FH and are a motivated personality? Do you enjoy working with people who are in advanced age? Then this position is just the right one for you.

Good oral and written German skills are an important foundation for working on this ward.
