Lead Buyer

In this key role, you are responsible for central product groups and develop sustainable procurement strategies in an international environment. Lead Buyer (a) Your Playground You are responsible for strategic product group management as well as ensuring security of supply (standard parts, pneumatics, gearing parts, carbide blades etc.) You develop product group strategies and carry out their implementation. You are responsible for professional supplier management (evaluation, selection, assessment, development). You conduct active price and contract negotiations with suppliers in an international procurement environment. You carry out price optimization and cost reduction projects, thereby making sustainable and measurable value contributions to the company's success. Compliance and sustainability topics in the procurement environment are not foreign concepts to you. You have close exchange with technology, assembly, quality, the plant in Rahden (D) as well as within the procurement team. You can support operational procurement in day-to-day business. Your Must-haves You have a completed basic technical training, ideally with specialist knowledge in the mentioned product groups. You have completed further training in the field of purchasing or similar (e.g. SCM). You have several years of experience in strategic purchasing with product group responsibility. You have strong analytical skills, networked thinking abilities, very good communication skills and strong negotiation skills. Independent, structured and goal-oriented working methods are among your strengths. You have very good experience in the application of IT and AI tools (SAP S4, MS, Copilot). You speak fluent German and have very good English skills.
