Genesupport is a competence center in genetics and a medical analysis laboratory specialized in human genetics. The laboratory offers complete services in prenatal, pediatric, and adult genetics, and brings together numerous competencies in molecular genetics, conventional cytogenetics, molecular cytogenetics, as well as cytogenomics. Genesupport is a member of the local laboratory network Sonic Suisse. Job objective Join our committed team within the Genesupport laboratory and participate, in this key role, in building the future of our leading and innovative company. We are looking for a biomedical laboratory technician to join our team, within our GENETICS sector experience in 1st trimester screening would constitute an asset and would allow, depending on needs, to also participate in this activity. Your impact in this role * You receive and take charge of samples respecting laboratory procedures. * You participate in the daily realization of molecular genetics diagnostic analyses. * You perform the technical validation and quality control of analyses. * You participate in the computer entry of results and clinical data. * Depending on your skills and the needs of the laboratory, you may also participate in 1st trimester screening activities, notably in the reception of samples, the performance of risk analyses, as well as the entry and follow-up of results. Your background and expertise * Ideally, you hold a diploma as a biomedical laboratory technician (TAB) or training / experience deemed equivalent. * You have already worked in a medical analysis laboratory, and have experience in the field of diagnostic molecular genetics. * You have good knowledge of the main molecular biology techniques used in diagnostics, notably PCR, real-time PCR and MLPA. * Complementary experience in 1st trimester screening constitutes an advantage. * You are a motivated, dynamic person, with a great interest in analysis and scientific development. * You have a team spirit and are a communicative person. * You demonstrate rigor, proactivity, organizational skills, versatility and autonomy * You have a good mastery of usual IT tools (Microsoft Office) and possess the necessary adaptation skills to use new software. * Knowledge of written/scientific English required. Knowledge of German would be an asset.
