Meaningful and versatile leadership task in a familial environment in Langnau i.E. and/or Rüegsauschachen

At three locations in the Emmental (Langnau, Rüegsauschachen), we live and work with up to 19 adolescents and young adults aged 14 to 20 with biographies shaped by flight and new beginnings. They live in Switzerland without parents and we understand our KJA-recognized home as a place where young people are allowed to feel at home and a familial togetherness shapes living together.

Residential Group Leader 80 - 100 % for a residential group with 6 - 7 places, starting immediately or by arrangement. ##

What awaits you:

• You lead a team of around 10 employees, create the work schedule and take over administrative tasks
• You implement the pedagogical concept and actively help develop it within the residential group.
• You work closely with the home management
• You take over the key worker role (Bezugspersonenarbeit) for 1 - 2 young people
• You shape the everyday life of the young people with creativity and commitment.
• You are a contact person for our young people.
• You contribute your own ideas and actively work on the further development of our three locations.

What you bring with you:

• Degree at tertiary level in Social Work or Social Pedagogy
• Several years of experience in the inpatient child and youth sector, ideally in the context of flight and migration
• Experience in a leadership function
• Good organizational and administrative skills
• A heart for young people with complex biographies
• Pronounced social competence, flexibility and a lot of humor
• Initiative and sense of responsibility
• An open and appreciative attitude towards other cultures
• Driver's license: B
