Freight Forwarder - Customs Declarant M/F

Introduction ## For our Commercial division, we are looking for a Freight Forwarder - Customs Declarant whose main mission will be to ensure the customs compliance of our import/export flows. The selected person will be able to provide expertise in tariff classification (HS codes), preferential origins, and customs regulations, while supporting internal teams and our external partners. *Responsibilities* ## Customs classification and HS codes • Research, analyze, and assign the appropriate HS codes to our items • Study the technical characteristics of products to guarantee correct classification • Control the consistency of HS codes appearing on import and export documents • Maintain the internal database of tariff classifications • Identify and report risks of misclassification, fiscal impact, or regulatory non-compliance   Preferential origins • Verify the eligibility of goods for preferential origin regimes • Control proofs of origin and supporting documents • Prepare and follow up on certificates or declarations of origin when necessary • Ensure the application of preferential agreements according to countries of provenance and destination   Compliance and continuous improvement • Guarantee the application of customs regulations within the framework of international flows • Ensure regulatory monitoring regarding customs, HS codes, and rules of origin • Advise internal teams and alert in case of risk of non-compliance • Participate in the continuous improvement of internal customs processes and procedures   Coordination and support • Be the interlocutor for freight forwarders, carriers, customs agents, and competent authorities • Provide support to the logistics, supply chain, sales administration, purchasing, quality, and finance teams • Guarantee the quality and consistency of customs information communicated to internal and external partners *Profile* ## Education • Holder of the federal diploma of customs declarant • Additional training in international trade, logistics, supply chain, or customs regulation is an asset   Experience and skills • Proven experience in customs, import/export, and customs regulation, ideally at a shipper • Good mastery of international flows, documentary requirements, and shipping operations • Solid knowledge of tariff classification, rules of origin, and preferential origins • Experience in relations with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs authorities • Ability to control commercial, shipping, and customs clearance documents   Personal qualities • Rigor, precision, and organizational skills • Analytical mind and great attention to detail • Autonomy, reliability, and ability to manage priorities • Interpersonal skills and team spirit • Adaptability, discretion, and respect for confidentiality Conclusion ## We offer you a stimulating environment, excellent working conditions, flexible working time solutions, and first-class social benefits.
