Head of Culture Bistro / Gastronomy (80% - 100%)

VHS Solothurn operates its KULTURBISTRO directly at the Solothurn station. The bistro is publicly accessible to everyone who wants to have a cozy drink or nourish themselves with a lunch menu or other small meals. It can be rented for private occasions and seminars with catering. In addition, the KulturBistro offers performances by various artists, readings, courses, dance events, lectures, and more.

We are looking for an immediate start or by arrangement a

Head of Culture Bistro / Gastronomy (80% - 100%)

Hello organizational talent with a heart for gastronomy. If you want to inspire our customers in the bistro and within the framework of events, then an exciting position awaits you, mostly during daytime operations without room hours.

Your tasks:

• Operational and strategic management of the restaurant for a smooth daily routine
• Active participation as a hosting personality
• Leadership and further development of the service team and kitchen (400 percent positions), planning of goal-oriented processes, deployment and holiday planning
• Further development and participation in the design of the gastronomy concept
• Guest care at events and private occasions
• Responsible for cost and budget control as well as the ordering system
• Completion of administrative tasks such as settlements, monthly closings and inventories
• Cooperation in daily business and active support in service, kitchen and events as well as ensuring a high service and quality level
• Responsible for compliance, implementation and control of hygiene and occupational safety

Your profile:

• Completed training in the gastronomy sector or hotel management school
• Several years of activity in gastronomy, in a similar function desired
• Experience in employee leadership as a prerequisite
• Heart and passion for gastronomy, high customer orientation and sales flair
• Teamwork, communication talent, solution orientation and organizational skill as pronounced strengths
• Host with passion, professional appearance and operational commitment are your plus points
